Made-to-Measure Campervan Mattresses
No two campervan beds are alike. A VW Transporter rock-and-roll bed folds where a coachbuilt fixed bed doesn’t; a pop-top bunk needs a slim, light build; a self-build might have wheel-arch cut-outs, angled ends or a shape all of its own. An off-the-shelf mattress can’t cope with any of that — so we make every campervan mattress to your exact measurements, cut to your bed’s real shape.
We’ve been hand-making mattresses in Britain for over 40 years, and campervan conversions are what we know best. How do I measure my campervan bed for a made-to-measure mattress?
Measure the widest width and the full length of your bed base, then note any cut corners, curves or wheel-arch notches. For a rock-and-roll bed, measure it flat in the sleeping position. For anything unusual, a quick cardboard or paper template is ideal — send it with your order and we’ll cut to it exactly.
How does the shape tool work?
Pick the shape closest to your bed, enter your measurements and choose your depth, firmness and foam — the tool prices your exact campervan mattress instantly, with no account needed. If your bed isn’t a standard shape, send us a sketch on WhatsApp and we’ll quote it by hand.
Can you make a mattress for a rock-and-roll or fold-out bed?
Yes — it’s one of our most common jobs. We make single-piece, fold-flat or split mattresses to suit your seat-bed mechanism, so the bed folds cleanly by day and sleeps properly by night. Just tell us the make of your bed or send the measurements.
What about pop-top and elevating-roof bunks?
We build slimmer, lighter mattresses specifically for pop-top and elevating-roof beds, where every centimetre of height and every kilogram counts. You still get proper support, in a profile that packs down when the roof drops.
What thickness should a campervan mattress be?
It depends on your headroom and how you sleep. Most owners choose between 10cm and 20cm — slimmer for pop-tops and tight bunks, deeper for fixed beds with room to spare. Tell us your bed and we’ll recommend the right depth.
Are your campervan mattresses fire-safety certified?
Yes. Every mattress meets BS 7177, the fire-safety standard most campervan and motorhome insurers ask for. It’s included as standard on every made-to-measure campervan mattress we build.
How long does it take, and how is it delivered?
Most orders are made in around 5–12 working days depending on the season and the shape, and we’ll confirm a date when you order. Your mattress arrives vacuum-rolled and boxed with free UK delivery, ready to unroll and expand in place.
How much does a custom campervan mattress cost?
