Triple Layer Construction
-
TENCEL™ Zip-Off Cover
Wicks away the condensation that builds up overnight in a shut-up van, keeping the surface dry and fresh. Unzip it and it's machine-washable in seconds — no dragging the whole mattress out through the sliding door to air it.
-
Vasco® Memory Foam Top Layer
Warms to your body and moulds around your pressure points, taking the hardness out of a rock-and-roll bed, a slatted base or a fold-flat seat that was never built for a proper night's sleep.
-
Adaptive Support Layer
Sits under the memory foam to hold your spine in line and stop you sinking too far. It also deadens movement — which matters when two of you are sleeping shoulder-to-shoulder on a narrow van bed.
-
Premium Foundation Layer
A tough, stable base that keeps its shape season after season of packing down and setting up, while staying light enough to lift, turn and stow in a pop-top or garage.
Why Choose Bodyshape™?
The bed in a campervan is almost always a compromise — a rock-and-roll bed, a slatted board or a fold-flat seat, topped with thin foam chosen to hit a price, not to look after your back. Spend a day driving, walking or out on the water and that's exactly when a hard, unsupportive bed catches up with you. The Bodyshape™ puts that right: a Vasco® memory-foam top layer that contours to your shoulders and hips, over a support core that keeps your spine aligned.
In a van you're sleeping inches apart, and usually one of you is up first. The Bodyshape™ absorbs that movement rather than passing it across the bed — so whoever's out for the early surf or the dog walk doesn't drag the other out of a deep sleep.
Ideal for:
- Couples sharing a narrow van bed who don't want to feel every turn
- Anyone waking with sore shoulders, hips or back on a rock-and-roll bed or bench seat
- Side sleepers who want the foam to cushion and contour
- Van-lifers who want firmer orthopaedic support without a rock-hard feel

Measuring Guide
We cut the foam to the exact size you give us, and the cover then adds a few millimetres to the finished dimensions.
If your bed drops into a tight recess — common on VW and coachbuilt conversions — or you like room to tuck bedding in, take a little off your measurements. It's down to personal preference.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How does Vasco® memory foam work?
- It reacts to your body heat, softening and moulding to your shape so your weight spreads evenly and the pressure comes off your shoulders, hips and lower back — the spots that ache most after a day out of the van.
- How good is the motion isolation?
- Very good. The Vasco® foam soaks up movement rather than bouncing it across the bed, so a partner turning over or slipping out for an early start won't wake you — which counts for a lot on a van-width bed.
- How long does a rolled mattress take to expand?
- Around 2–4 hours to take shape; allow 24–48 hours for the foam to fully activate and reach its proper feel.
- What's included?
- The mattress with its TENCEL™ zip-off cover, care instructions, and a 5-year guarantee.
- Is the Firm option suitable for everyday use?
- Yes — it's built for proper back and joint support but stays comfortable in every sleeping position, whether you're away for a weekend or living in the van full-time.
