Care & Maintenance
Mattress
- You'll never have to turn it — the sleeping side is marked
- Air it regularly, especially after damp trips; use a mattress protector
- The foam itself needs nothing doing to it
Zip-off cover
- Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle
- Mild liquid detergent — no bleach
- Air dry only
- Iron on low if you need to
- Wash it every month or two
Measuring Guide
We cut the foam to the exact size you give us, and the cover then adds a few millimetres to the finished dimensions.
If your bed drops into a tight recess — common on VW and coachbuilt conversions — or you like room to tuck bedding in, take a little off your measurements. It's down to personal preference.

- How does Vasco® memory foam work?
- It reacts to your body heat, softening and moulding to your shape so your weight spreads evenly and the pressure comes off your shoulders, hips and lower back — the spots that ache most after a day out of the van.
- How good is the motion isolation?
- Very good. The Vasco® foam soaks up movement rather than bouncing it across the bed, so a partner turning over or slipping out for an early start won't wake you — which counts for a lot on a van-width bed.
- How long does a rolled mattress take to expand?
- Around 2–4 hours to take shape; allow 24–48 hours for the foam to fully activate and reach its proper feel.
